In recognition of Earth Day, we are excited to launch an all-school collaborative art project titled “Dirty Earth & Clean Earth.” This project invites every class to participate in a hands-on, visual exploration of how we impact our planet—and how we can care for it.

Using large circular paper “earths” (as shown in the photo), each class will contribute to transforming each “Earth” into a split representation:

  • One: “Dirty Earth” – illustrating pollution, waste, and environmental harm
  • One: “Clean Earth” – showing sustainability, nature, and positive environmental actions

Students can use paint, collage materials, drawing tools, or mixed media to express their ideas. The goal is to spark conversation about environmental responsibility while creating a meaningful piece of collaborative art.

Project Details:

  • Each class will contribute to the prepared Earth templates
  • Materials will be available in the Art Room (or can be taken to classrooms and returned)
  • Completed pieces will be displayed throughout the school to create a powerful Earth Day installation

Timeline:

  • Project completion: 4/30/2026

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect creatively on protecting the environment while contributing to a larger school-wide message.
